How TwoScore Was Born Over A Glass of Champagne

The origin story, Amanda’s vision, and what credit unions really need

Ten years ago, I sat at a café in Paris with a notebook and a glass of champagne. What I wrote that day wasn’t a formal business plan. It was the start of a vision that was rooted in something deeper than tactics and metrics. It was about people (because credit unions have the best, let’s be honest!). It was about purpose. And it became the foundation for what is now TwoScore.

At the time, I was working in the credit union industry and starting to face a difficult season in my personal life. My dad started having a lot of serious health issues related to his service in Vietnam, and I knew I needed a new kind of balance. But I didn’t want to leave behind the work and the industry that I loved.

So I asked myself: What if I could build something that helped credit unions grow while staying small, values-based, and deeply human? And that’s where TwoScore began.

Credit Unions Deserve More than a Vendor

(I also hate that word with a passion). Over the years, we’ve heard it from credit union leaders again and again:

“We want marketing help, but we don’t want to lose our brand voice.”
”We don’t have the budget of a big bank, but we still need to grow sustainably in order to serve our members to the best of our ability.”
”We need someone who understands who are are.”

TwoScore was created to answer that.

We’re here to help credit unions tell their stories, deepen relationships with members, and create marketing that actually works, because it’s built on strategy and soul.

We’ve helped our clients launch brands, grow loan portfolios, navigate mergers, celebrate milestones, and connect more meaningfully with their communities. But at the heart of it, we’ve helped them stay true to who they are.

Why We’re Finally Telling Our Story

For over a decade, we’ve focused entirely on helping others tell their stories. Now, nearly through our tenth year of business, it felt like the right time to share ours.

Because our story matters, too. Not for the sake of nostalgia, but because where we came from shapes everything about how we show up for our clients today. It also shapes where we’re going next.

🥂 We’re proud of what we’ve built.

🥂 We’re proud of who we’ve built it with.

🥂 And we’re just getting started.

Here’s (cheers!) to the next chapter. And to every credit union that believes in the power of doing things with heart.

Cheers,

Amanda
